The evidence- based approach in this book is very interesting. Nevertheless, the book gives useful and comprehensive guidance. The writer does not state anything that was not already obvious to an experienced reader on Asperger’s Syndrome. One paragraph contains learnings and advice directly aimed at the “aspergirls” reader. Each section lists snippets of conversations with the subject base, followed by two paragraphs. In a total of twenty-one chapters, the author covers the relevant topics such as sensory issues, friendships, and employment. The interesting thing about this book, is that it is almost In this sense the title is slightly misleading as the book focuses on adults instead of “girls”.

The author is a young lady diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. I haven’t as yet come across many books that focus purely on girls on high-functioning autistic spectrum. The new word “Aspergirls” and subtitle “Empowering Females with Asperger Syndrome” clearly suggest a focus specifically on women on the spectrum.
